The study program “Master of Laws in Economic and Taxation Law” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of three semesters. This program is targeted towards participants with a previous educational background in Law or Economic Science who wish to find employment in consultancy companies in which academic knowledge of taxation and auditing is required. The aim of the Master program is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the different legal approaches through which the government assess and collect taxes. Additionally, participants are encouraged to take active participation in discussions which concern possible tendencies for the negative outcome of various economic phenomena. Examples of specialization modules are “Public and Private Commercial Law”, “Criminal Code for Tax Offences”, and “Insolvency Law”.
