The study program “Master of Arts in English and American Studies” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time combined master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a relevant Bachelor degree, in combination with another major course. The Master program enables students to acquire special knowledge in one of the major fields that are offered. In addition, participants are provided with the unique opportunity to obtain expertise in Shakespeare Studies. Upon graduation, students could pursue employment in arts and cultural institutions where an academic understanding of Anglo-American cultural and literary practices is required.
