The study program “Master of Arts in European Culture and Economy” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a Bachelor degree in social sciences, cultural sciences or economics who wish to acquire academic insights into the function that Europe performs as an institution. In addition, its role in the contemporary globalized world is also closely investigated. The multidisciplinary teaching approach of the Master program enables students to deepen their knowledge of a particular subdiscipline by choosing a major specialization. Some of the diverse modules offered by the program are “Europeanisation, Governance, Institutions and Policy Areas in the EU,” “International Institutions and Processes of Globalisation”, and “Internationalisation and Transnationalisation”.
