The study program “Master of Arts in Film and Audiovisual Media” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. The program is targeted towards prospective students who have obtained a Bachelor degree in Media Studies. The Master program aims at providing students with an academic understanding of the significance of the visual medium to contemporary culture from a philosophical, artistic and cultural point of view. Throughout their studies, participants are required to complete a two-term exchange program at a partner university abroad. A precondition to applying for this program is language competencies in two foreign languages.
