The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Geography” offered at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to either pursue a career path in the field of urban planning and environmental protection or those who wish to find employment in the educational sector. The multidisciplinary approach of the Bachelor program aims at providing students with the academic understanding of the study of Geography in our contemporary communities, as well as the ongoing topics of research in the field. This is done by combining the field of natural sciences with the field of humanities for establishing the ultimate base for examining the relationship between people and the environment. Participants are required to complete a two-month internship program during the second year of their studies.
