The study program “Master of Education in Geography” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards undergraduates who intend to pursue a professional career as teachers. The Master program aims to prepare students for employment in secondary schools in which the ability to independently compose and execute an age-appropriate study course is required. The various modules on didactics enable participants to obtain sufficient insights into the subject matter to be able to convey the acquired knowledge analytically and in an understanding manner. Throughout their studies, students are also provided with the opportunity to complete a mandatory internship at an educational institution.
