The study program “Bachelor of Science in Geosciences” offered at the Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who wish to find employment in the field of raw material supply or the field of energy supply. The Bachelor program aims at motivating students to think outside-of-the-box when figuring out different solutions techniques to establishing sustainable living systems on the planet. Instead of focusing on one particular subdiscipline, the program offers specializations in various geoscientific fields such as geology, mineralogy and geophysics. Taking part in an exchange program at a university abroad, as well as completing an internship is not mandatory but highly advisable.
