The study program “Master of Arts in History of Modern and Present Art” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is suitable for undergraduates from the field of Cultural Studies who would like to deepen their knowledge of the subject matter. The Master’s program aims at the academic acquisition of current artistic practices and their relevance for other cultural media. Participants are provided with the opportunity to take specialization modules in the following areas, “Genesis and Evolution of Modern Art Since the Late 18th Century”, “Art Theory and Aesthetics”, and “Post-1960s Art”.
