The study program “Master of Arts in International Political Economy of East Asia” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a relevant previous academic degree who wish to deepen their expertise in the field. The Master’s program aims at the academic acquisition of the economic and political challenges faced by countries in the East Asian region in today’s globalized world. The program actively encourages participants to take part in a study abroad program at a higher educational institution in the region. Language proficiency in either Chinese, Japanese or Korean is a prerequisite for starting this program.
