The study program “Master of Science in IT Security / Information Engineering” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a relevant previous academic background, with a particular focus on IT Security. The Master’s program aims to deepen students’ knowledge that they have acquired during their Bachelor’s degree by enabling them to acquire competencies in various major modules. Some of them are “Network and Data Security”, “Embedded Security”, “Cryptography”, and “System Security”. Postgraduates who lack sufficient understandings of either cryptography, mathematics or IT studies, could take a preparatory course before the beginning of their studies.
