The study program “Master of Arts in Japanese Studies” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time combined master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for the graduates of the related Bachelor’s course offered by the university who wish to deepen their expertise in the field of Japanese philology. The Master’s program aims at the academic acquisition of Early Modern and Modern Japanese historic events and their significance for the contemporary socio-political situation of the country.
