The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Korean Studies” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in finding employment in cultural or international institutions in which academic knowledge of the Korean language and culture is desired. The Bachelor program aims at providing students with a socio-cultural overview of the region from a global perspective. Additionally, the historical impact that Korea has had on the development of East Asia as a whole is closely examined. The two-month exchange program that is being offered provide students with the opportunity to practice their newly acquired language competencies in Middle and Modern Korean, and/or written Chinese.
