The study program “Master of Education in Latin” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is the final step that participants must complete before beginning their preparatory service at educational institutions. The Master’s program is targeted towards postgraduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Philology who wish to pursue a professional career as teachers. Students are provided with the opportunity to practice the skills that they have obtained at a secondary school or gymnasium. Before beginning their studies, participants must show proof of Latin language proficiency, as well as language competencies in two other modern languages.
