The state examination program “Medicine” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time course with a duration of thirteen semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in building a professional career as medical practitioners. The multidisciplinary approach of the program enables students to acquire extensive understandings in various subfields, including discovering, treating and preventing the symptoms of a particular disease. The program requires participants to complete two types of training courses. The nursing internship lasts three months and must be completed by the end of the second year.
