The study program “Master of Arts in Medieval and Renaissance Studies” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is suitable for Literary Studies graduates who wish to acquire academic understandings of Medieval and Early Modern cultural and literary studies. The MaRS’ seminars that the program offers enable students to gain practical experience by taking part in various workshops and conferences on the subject matter. The four core major modules that participants could gain specialist knowledge of are “English Studies”, “History”, “German Studies”, and “Art History”. Besides excellent English language skill, another prerequisite to starting this program is proof of Latin language proficiency, as well as language competencies in another European language.
