The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to either pursue a career path in cultural institutions in which academic knowledge of philosophical notions and discourses is required or those who wish to find employment in the educational sector. The bachelor program seeks to encourage students to come up with possible answers to fundamental questions regarding our existence, values, reason, etc. The program allows participants to specialize in one of the following modules: “Theoretical Philosophy”, “Practical Philosophy”, “History of Philosophy”, “Philosophy of Culture”, or “Natural Philosophy”. Taking part in studying abroad program for a maximum of one term is highly advisable.
