The study program “Bachelor of Science in Physics” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who would like to either pursue a career path in scientific institutions in which empirical knowledge of the theories and principles of physics-related subject matter is required or those who wish to find employment in the educational sector. The Bachelor program prepares students for the Master of Education program which would further deepen their pedagogical skills in the field of physics. The specialization course “Didactics of Physics” provides participants with a teacher training module in which they learn how to properly communicate and present information to a younger audience. Prospective students who lack sufficient knowledge of mathematics and physics could choose to complete the introductory course “Introduction to the Mathematical tools of Physics” before the start of the academic year.
