The study program “Master of Education in Physics” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. The Master’s program is targeted towards postgraduates with a combined Bachelor’s degree in Physics which the university offers. This program is the final step that participants must complete before beginning their preparatory service at educational institutions. The multidisciplinary teaching approach of the Master’s program enables participants to acquire expertise in the fundamental theories and methods of the subject matter. In addition, the major courses on didactics provide them with the necessary scientific competencies to creatively and adequately convey and present relevant knowledge. The program also requires participants to complete an internship semester at a related secondary school or gymnasium.
