The study program “Master of Science in Physics” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a relevant previous academic background, with acquired expertise in Experimental Physics, Theoretical Physics and Higher Mathematics. In addition to deepening students’ knowledge of the subject matter, the Master’s program supports them in developing innovative methods and techniques for the advancement of other scientific disciplines, such as medicine, for example. The wide range of major modules enables participants to focus their scientific investigation on a particular field of interest. Some of these modules are “Astronomy & Astrophysics”, “Biophysics”, “Solid-state Physics and Material Science”, and “Nuclear & Particle Physics”. Participation in study abroad programs is highly advisable.
