The study program “Master of Science in Psychology, specialising in Cognitive Neuroscience” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology who are interested in seeking employment in clinical research. The Master’s program aims at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the mental processes that occur in the human brain while the person is in a cognitive state. Some of the major modules that students could specialize in to comprehensively understand how the occurrence of some of these biological processes might affect the human psyche are “Basic Questions of Neuroscientific Research”, “Current Methods of Cognitive Neuroscience”, and “Implications for Neuropsychological and Clinical disorders”. In addition, completion of a six-week internship program at a research institute is required.
