The study program “Master of Education in Sports Science” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for postgraduates of the combined Bachelor’s degree course in Sports Science that the university offers. This program is the final step that participants must complete before beginning their preparatory service at educational institutions. The aim of the Master’s program is to provide students with the fundamentals of the teaching profession. This is implemented by enabling participants to acquire comprehensive insights on how to plan and design a course, as well as how to present new information to a younger audience. In addition, students must complete a two-month internship at an accredited secondary school or gymnasium as part of their degree.
