Description
The seven-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy” offered by SRH University Heidelberg concentrates on developing students` therapeutic and musical capabilities in a practical setting. They also gain theoretical knowledge in medicine, psychology, neuroscience, and musicology. Students will discover how to use music to improve the health of individuals of all ages. Before the first internship, they will learn the fundamentals of improvisation, song accompaniment, and therapeutic discussion. Participants will learn how to treat clients with different clinical pictures till the second internship. Incorporated to the curriculum, there are two internships, group self-awareness and group supervision. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can work in neurological specialist clinics, music schools, special schools, vocational rehabilitation institutions, psychiatric clinics, etc.
