The four-semester study program “Master of Arts in Music Therapy” offered by SRH University Heidelberg puts an emphasis on music therapy in psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychosomatics, neurology. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is a rigorous internship phase. Students will learn practical music instruction, therapeutic strategies and scientific material, related to the field. Teaching, practice, and research are all integrated in the program. Students may put their newfound knowledge and abilities to practice at the campus music therapy clinic and during internships. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can work in the areas of psychiatry, neurology, palliative medicine, etc.
