The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” offered by SRH University Heidelberg provides students with such a course of study that will prepare them comprehensively about the work in the various areas of social work and supporting people in different life situation. During the program students will be taught psychology, pedagogy, law, but the theoretical knowledge isn’t enough for dealing with the social work challenges. Therefore, participants also cope with particular practical cases.  By engaging with these cases, students not only gain competencies, but also get a critical understanding of how social inequality originates and how to position oneself in response to it. Graduates of the program are in high demand in the fields of child and youth services, company social work, addiction help, health promotion and social assistance, etc.
