The six-semester dual study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” offered by SRH University Heidelberg mixes theory and practice right from the start. In the first part of the week, students are taught theoretical knowledge and in the second part they apply it directly to their company through a practical assignment. Throughout the course of study participants will discover essential social work theories and research methodologies, ethics as well as in – depth psychological and legal understanding. The demands of social work are so broad that only theory isn’t enough, in order to master them. That’s the reason why students will continually apply their knowledge in practice within their company. Graduates of the program are in high demand in the fields of child and youth services, company social work, addiction help, health promotion and social assistance, etc.
