The seven-semester course “Bachelor of Arts in Media Publishing” at Stuttgart Media University is conducted in German and partly in English. The program intends to introduce students to changes in media practice behaviour and to deal theoretically and practically with the concept, production and distribution of books, journals and newspapers as a print, digital and mobile media. In addition, teaching and research content is constantly changing by faculty due to the constant and rapid changes in the publishing industry. Students gain knowledge in business management, production-related, content-related, design and marketing-oriented topics. Applicants must have a professional background as a bookseller, publisher and media officer or media designer to be admitted to the course.
