The program “Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biotechnology” at the Technical University of Munich has a duration of six semesters. The goal of the study course is to develop a comprehensive knowledge of a combination of topics in chemistry, engineering, and biological sciences. The curriculum includes the subjects such as physical chemistry, practical course in general chemistry, cell and microbiology, advanced organic chemistry, enzymes and their reactions and other disciplines. Students acquire basic engineering and natural science knowledge and methods for analysis, modeling, simulation and design, and carry out experiments independently and interpret the results. Graduates can start a job in the university or the chemical industry as an engineer.
