The Theresian Military Academy, founded in 1751 and seated in Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria), is a public training facility for people who seek a military career in the Austrian Armed Forces. More than 100 students are currently trained as military officers. The training program comprises the six-semester Bachelor course “Military Leadership“ (B.A. in Military Leadership), as well as a twelve-week internship. Besides officer candidates, Theresian Military Academy offers study opportunities to civilian auditors as well, provided that they meet the admission criteria. Upon completion of the Bachelor degree course, students have the possibility to take the four-semester Master degree course “Military Leadership“ (M.A. in Military Leadership) at the National Defense Academy in Vienna. The Master course covers the following subject areas: General Leadership Skills, Economic Skills, Special Military Skills, and Academic Skills.
