The University of Music Trossingen provides its students with the “Bachelor of Music in Early Music”. This course is offered at the university’s Institute for Performance Practice. This undergraduate course is a full-time, German-taught, eight-semester program. It aims to introduce the students to the basics of the early music. Furthermore, the main purpose of this program is to develop the academic abilities of the participants in connection with music discovery, Renaissance music period, Romantic music period, music instruments, musical interpretation, historical performances, stage behaviour, etc. Both lectures and practical musical seminars are provided to the students. The future graduates will be highly qualified to work across the music industry, education, musical plays, music organisations and many others. The admission requirements consist of a general university entry examination.
