Trossingen University of Music offers the four-semester degree program “Master of Music in Early Music: Ensemble Conducting’’. Here student will have the opportunity to gain high-level artistic knowledge and skills while also specializing in ensemble conducting. In order to receive professional expertise, participants will have to go through an intensive course that explores the many different aspects of music and primarily the practice of leading an ensemble. Furthermore, the program puts a strong emphasis on early music. Other topics that are also explored in the course include stylistic and aesthetic questions of performance practice and interpretation, sing language and movement, work with instrumental ensemble, rehearsal techniques, and more.
