The “Master of Music in Contemporary Music” is provided at the University of Music Trossingen as a full-time, two- or four-semester program. It aims to introduce the participants to the basics of contemporary music. Furthermore, the main goal of this postgraduate degree is to further the academic abilities of the students in the fields of performance, music composition, singing, instruments, sound design, art, music style, interpretation, artistic behaviour, pluralism, modernism, instrument-specific requirements, etc. After successful graduation the participants can expand their academic knowledge into a doctoral program, as well as they will be highly qualified for variety of working positions. The admission requirements consist of a finalised Bachelor’s degree in music.
