The “Master of Music in Opera” is provided by the University of Music Trossingen as a two- or four-semester, full-time, German-taught course. The main purpose of this postgraduate degree is to further the academic knowledge and skills of the students, in connection with music, opera and voice. Furthermore, the participants will deepen their understanding in the areas of opera singing, artistic self-conception, stage behaviour, performance, opera studies, sounds design, video, creativity, facial expressions, choreography, body expression, high level interpretation, artistic repertoire and many others. After successful graduation, the students will be highly qualified to work across the opera in variety of positions. The admission requirements consist of a finalised Bachelor’s degree in the fields of opera.
