The University of Kaiserslautern, founded in 1970, is a public university seated in Kaiserlautern, Rhineland-Palatinate. It provides study opportunities for round about 14,700 students in twelve departments: the Department of Architecture, the Department of Biology, the Department of Business Studies and Economics, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, the Department of Physics, the Department of Spatial and Environmental Planning, and the Department of Social Sciences. The scope of Diploma studies includes the study courses “Architecture“, “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology“, “Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering“, as well as “Physics“. Those who wish to gain an early insight into certain study programs have the option to take part in an early admissions program, even without an A-level qualification. Graduates of the University of Kaiserslautern obtain a B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., M.A., M.Sc., M.Eng., or Dipl.-Ing. degree.
