The UMIT - Private University of Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology, founded in 2001, is a private university of health and life sciences seated in Hall, Tyrol. It is organized into four departments: the Department of Nursing Science and Gerontology, the Department of Public Health, Health Services Research and HTA, the Department of Psychology and Medical Sciences, as well as the Department of Biomedical Computer Science and Mechatronics. The University accomodates around 1,500 students in Baccalaureate, Magister, Master and doctoral programs as well as university courses in the fieds of Health Sciences, Mechatronics, Psychology, and Nursing Science. Leading to a Baccalaureate degree are the study programs “Mechatronics“, “Nursing Sciences“, “Nursing“, “Psychology“, “Physiotherapy“, as well as “Economy, Health and Sports Tourism“. The scope of Master or Magister studies includes the degree programs “Health Sciences“, “Mechatronics“, “Nursing Science“, and “Psychology“.
