The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen, founded in 1971 by an amalgamation of several forerunner institutions, is a public university in Lower Saxony with locations in Hildesheim (headquarters), Holzminden, and Göttingen. It accomodates almost 6,000 students.
