The English-language program “Master of Arts in New Media Design/Media Spaces” at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences is project-based and provides students with skills to create experiences within virtual and physical spaces. It is particularly suited for individuals who have completed their undergraduate education in artistic, design, or media-related subjects. The course of studies teaches how to analyze and locate spatial, moving, and non-linear forms of expression, as well as how to apply them to spatial concepts. The acquired sound media competence enables development of design-based and technological solutions. Besides, students have knowledge in methods for planning, organizing, and production technologies, as well as successful project management strategies. The duration of the program is two to four semesters, each taking six months. Students are taught in small courses in order to foster their individual development. A Master’s degree in Media Spaces opens doors to a large, diverse and challenging set of jobs. For example, graduates have the necessary qualifications to participate in interdisciplinary, intercultural and international teamwork projects.
