The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Photography”, offered by University of  Europe for Applied Sciences in English and German, is a combination of theory, practice and professionalism that teaches students creative and technical skills and encourages them to express their ideas. Students are shown the technological innovations and get familiar with lighting design, composition and the complete analog and digital workflow, and as a result obtain the ability to communicate visually through photographic practice. The program develops understanding of individual photographic genres. Skilled photographers bring a wealth of experience to the course of studies. Students are taught in small learning groups, as the focus is on individual development. In the fifth semester they are given the opportunity to do an internship in Germany or abroad. Graduates will be highly creative and technically experienced and are able to produce professional photographic work to an industry standard. Apart from freelance practice, there is also the prospect of working as a photographer in the advertising industry, for publications, corporate communications and events.
