The “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Information Technology - Communication and Media Technology” program at the University of Applied Sciences Jena has a length of seven semesters. The course offers field trips, an internship, a semester abroad, collaborations with local or regional partners, and small group projects so that students can receive maximum attention and nurturing to develop their interests. The program focuses on the study of processes, algorithms and devices for the production, transmission and reproduction of media content. Graduates can further develop their knowledge in a master's degree or start a career in charging systems development, electrical engineering in the Federal Intelligence Service and information technology. The admission requirements are a general university entrance qualification (Abitur) or a university entrance qualification in a specific subject.
