The “Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering” course at the University of Applied Sciences Jena has a duration of six semesters. Students acquire scientific and technical competencies, have internships and a semester abroad. During the first two semesters, students study the core subjects for the Engineering faculty and then go through courses such as Physical Diagnostics of Materials, Chemistry of Plastics/Composites, Prefabricated Structures, Metals and others. Graduates of the speciality become highly qualified specialists and can find a position in the sphere of production and processing of materials and the economic fields.
