The “Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy” course at the University of Applied Sciences Jena has a duration of eight semesters. The program offers multiple practices in collaboration with hospitals, social rehabilitation centres and outpatient services so that students can experience the profession in real life and be as prepared as possible. The program provides internships and focuses on five main points, including methodological and technical fundamentals, occupational therapy, social participation, and team collaboration. The curriculum consists of compulsory and elective modules and based on two stages of study. In the first stage, students acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge, and in the second stage, Bachelors consolidate, deepen and expand what they have learned. The admission requirement is a general university entrance qualification or anyone with a professional medical certificate can also be accepted.
