The program “Master of Science in Optometry/Ophthalmotechnology/Vision Science” at the University of Applied Sciences Jena lasts for four semesters. The course provides a research internship and concentrates on optometry and ophthalmic technology. Students acquire optometric, clinical-medical and ophthalmic competencies. Graduates can enter the lighting and optical industries, laser surgery facilities, product management, contact lens institutes, ophthalmic and medical facilities, and other opportunities. Admission requirements are a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and applicants must pass an aptitude test.
