The eight-semester program “Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy” at the University of Applied Sciences Jena provides both a professional qualification in physiotherapy and an academic degree. The course is practice-oriented and prepares students from the outset of their studies with the daily realities of their future careers and maximises their potential. The program includes subjects such as Musculoskeletal system, Neuromuscular System and Mental Health, Early life phase, Internal organ systems, Late life and chronic diseases, and Physiotherapeutic action autonomy. Students receive a high-quality education and can easily find work in rehabilitation clinics, sports clubs, nursing homes, hospices and facilities for people with disabilities, as well as start an independent physiotherapy practice. To be accepted, applicants must have a general university entrance qualification or provide a professional medical certificate, which also will be accepted.
