The study course “Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science” at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt extends into seven semesters and is taught in German and English. The basic aim of the studies is to train students in the creation of data systems, analysis, design and preparation of information systems, and the support for their use in practice, as a technology or economic tool. Since there are numerous spheres of application of the products and services computer science takes care of, a comprehensive course on the fundamentals is programmed in the initial part, which later transforms into a specialization course in information security, media informatics, mobile solutions, digital innovations, and more. Interdisciplinary project work, serious preparation in English, team-building and soft skills, and a final thesis related to enhancing particular company-suggested subject matter, are included in the syllabus.
