Description


The Master’s degree “Master of Engineering in Geodata Technology” is a three-semester program at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. Group projects and research are introduced from the start of the studies, involving students in ongoing faculty work. Most important is considered the ability to apply scientific knowledge, which is vast and complex in itself, in a targeted, user-oriented manner, according to the necessities and services demanded. The disciplines taught in the first two semesters are geodata processing, machine analysis and IT systems, land management, virtual and augmented reality, methodology and soft skills. All research is relevant and in line with the overall work of the department. Geodata processing is a need for many institutions in today’s information–driven society, so there are numerous positions to choose from in the future professional realization of the graduates – in industry, land management, commerce, tourism, environment protection.
