The seven-semester program “Bachelor of Engineering in Geovisualization” is provided by the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. The degree’s aim is to train specialist for areas of broad practical use nowadays, due to geospatial information gaining impetus. Specialists like these are the ones in charge of navigation, location-based services in smartphones, virtual tours like maps and applications, among others. They are trained to gather, record, locate, manage, analyze and extract the geodata provided in the requested form and type. Computer graphics, cartography, information data systems, processing, and presentation is what is taught in the advanced course, whereas the last semesters are centered on seeing the practical application of these processes, through simulations, interdisciplinary project-work, practice period and the development of relevant research topic in the bachelor’s thesis.
