The “Master of Science in Information Systems” at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt is a three-semester degree course. It teaches the advanced subjects of the bachelor’s degree and gives a practical orientation in the industries and businesses of its application. The suitable undergraduate background is computer science, business informatics or e-commerce. The time of the program is scheduled as follows: in the first and the second semesters there are eight compulsory and four subject-specific elective modules – FWPMs. The latter can be obtained at another university or faculty, as long as these possess a comparable degree course. The third semester is programmed for the master’s thesis plus an independent publication. Since information systems are the obligatory element in nowadays’ communication, many positions are available, and students can expect a fast and successful professional career in a field of their personal preference.
