Description
The University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, in response to the increasing global migration tendency, has designed the program “Master of Arts in International Social Work with Refugees and Migrants”. It is an English-taught three-semester long degree, which is internationally focused in content and mobility. Legal, political, cultural, educational, psychological aspects are provided for the thorough interpretation, on scientific and theoretical terms, of the situations in which graduates will encounter themselves in their job. On the national level, the degree is suitable for future work in migration counselling, youth welfare, volunteer management. On the international side – there are the organizations like UNHCR, EU Asylum Hotspot Centers, which provide shelter and refugee camps. To gain first-hand experience, and apply the knowledge obtained, students spend an internship semester abroad, in the region of origin or transit they will deal with later.
