The German-taught degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Management in Healthcare” at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt has a duration of seven semesters and is designed for candidates with a completed training in a health profession. This is the course through which they will be qualified for the management positions in nursing and healthcare facilities. The concept behind the creation of the curriculum is that professionals of that kind need to be well-prepared with both methodological and technical operations in their field of expertise, but, most importantly, are to be equipped with behavioral and interpersonal skills in order to maintain a good working and professional atmosphere at the company. Great emphasis is placed on the development of organizational, HR management and leadership training. The practice aspect of the studies is braced up by the internship period in the fifth semester, the project work, and the orientation of the bachelor’s thesis itself.
