The application at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt for the “Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering” course is linked to a pre-study internship of eight weeks, which can only be omitted in case of proof of apprenticeship. The organization of the course is into a basic phase, an advanced one, and a practice period. In the first three semesters students learn core natural sciences, engineering, plus management disciplines, whereas in the consolidation phase of the fourth and fifth semester, they focus on applied materials, manufacturing technology, digital engineering, environment al technology, vehicle technology, mechatronics, lightweight construction, and more.
