The degree program “Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics” at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt is conducted entirely in English, and the requirement for the language proficiency is level B2. The level of German is A2 for the international students. Since robots are being introduced in various sophisticated processes in industry, and not only, there will be an increasing demand for specialists like these in the future. The TWIN program also supposes getting acquainted with the cultural particularities, especially when operating in a global business context. Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence and informational technologies lie at the foundations of the specialization courses. The basics are learned at the initial stage, during the first four semesters, and they deal with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, plus other relevant scientific competences. Whatever the theoretical basis portrayed, it is interpreted through an entirely practice and application-oriented methodology, “learning by doing”, which encompasses all the aspects of the program.
